Concrete barriers surround the Italian embassy a day after an Italian officer was kidnapped in Sanaa on July 30, 2012. According to media reports, an Italian officer was kidnapped on 29 July in front of the Italian embassy in the Yemeni capital by armed men. The man was responsible for security issues at the embassy.
